2014-05-22 GiraffPlus on Exposanità 2014 in Bologna, Italy

On May 21st the GiraffPlus project was presented by Giulio Bernardi and Andrea Orlandini (CNR-ISTC) at the Exposanità 2014, an Italian Health exhibition.

Exposanità is Italy’s unique exhibition dedicated to health care and assistance. Established over 30 years ago, it is viewed as a must-attend appointment and provides a platform for manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors that want to enter the Italian market or strengthen their presence on it, while its geographic position offers a handy gateway for Italian as well as Mediterranean and eastern European visitors.

The Giraff robot was also demonstrated within the "Active Ageing" initiative, i.e. an area within the exhibition that showed a domestic living environment and daily activities that old persons may perform. A living room and a kitchen showed dynamic activities such as interacting with the robot or cooking, a relax area with domotic components composed by a bedroom and a bathroom, and finally, a garden with plants for healing and wellbeing.
